Florence Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Florence's website, apps, messaging experiences, integrations, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
1. Who we are
The Services are provided by [Florence Legal Entity] (“Florence,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
2. Eligibility
You may use the Services only if:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms;
- you are authorized to create an account for yourself and any household or organization you represent; and
- if you provide information about a child, caregiver, spouse, co-parent, or other third party, you have the authority to do so and to authorize Florence to process that information in connection with the Services.
3. The Services
Florence is an AI-assisted household coordination service designed to help families manage schedules, calendars, communications, reminders, and related logistics.
Features may include:
- household accounts and profiles;
- connected email and calendar integrations;
- AI-generated summaries, event extraction, and scheduling suggestions;
- caregiver and co-parent coordination features;
- reminders, notifications, and calendar writeback; and
- website, mobile, and messaging interfaces.
Some features may be experimental, limited, or available only in beta.
4. Household accounts and roles
Florence may allow you to create or join a household and invite other adults or caregivers.
If you create or administer a household, you are responsible for:
- inviting only people you are authorized to invite;
- configuring permissions appropriately;
- reviewing household rules and disclosures; and
- revoking access when a person should no longer have it.
5. Connected accounts and third-party services
You may choose to connect third-party services, such as Google, Microsoft, Apple, email providers, calendar providers, identity providers, or messaging platforms.
By connecting a third-party account, you authorize Florence to access, process, transmit, and store the information made available through that integration in order to provide the Services, subject to your settings and our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for:
- maintaining your rights to connect the account;
- complying with third-party provider terms;
- understanding that third-party services may change, suspend, or discontinue integrations; and
- reviewing and revoking access if you no longer want Florence connected.
6. Permissions, approvals, and household disclosures
You understand and agree that:
- Florence may process your connected accounts to identify family-relevant information;
- connecting an account does not automatically grant other household members access to your raw inbox or full calendar details;
- Florence may generate structured household updates, proposals, reminders, calendar objects, or caregiver-safe views based on your settings, product rules, and approvals;
- Florence may disclose household information to co-parents, household members, and caregivers according to the permissions and settings configured in the Services; and
- you are responsible for reviewing your household settings and invited participants.
7. AI-assisted features and important limitations
Florence uses software, rules, automation, and AI systems to classify communications, extract scheduling details, suggest actions, and coordinate household information.
You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or wrong;
- Florence may misclassify private or sensitive content;
- you should review important events, permissions, and sensitive disclosures;
- Florence is not a substitute for your own judgment; and
- Florence may change or remove automated features over time.
8. No emergency, medical, legal, or professional use
Florence is not an emergency service and must not be relied upon for emergencies, medical advice, legal advice, mental health care, child safety decision-making, or other high-stakes situations where errors could cause harm.
If you have an emergency, contact emergency services or the appropriate professional directly.
9. Your content and rights
As between you and Florence, you retain ownership of content you provide to the Services, subject to the rights you grant below.
You grant Florence a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, create derivative works from, transmit, display, and use your content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services, enforce these Terms, and comply with law.
10. Acceptable use
You may not use the Services to:
- violate any law or the rights of others;
- access or attempt to access another person's data without authorization;
- upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or harmful content;
- harass, abuse, stalk, exploit, or endanger any person, including a child or caregiver;
- interfere with the security, integrity, or operation of the Services;
- reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or build competing services from the Services except as permitted by law; or
- misrepresent your identity, authority, or relationship to a child, household, caregiver, or connected account.
